Smartlane API

The Smartlane API Developer Hub

Welcome to the Smartlane API developer hub. You'll find comprehensive guides and documentation to help you start working with Smartlane API as quickly as possible, as well as support if you get stuck. Let's jump right in!

Get Started

The Smartlane API is the easiest path to solving vehicle routing problems and provides various tools to analyze and optimize your transport processes.

This tutorial gives an introduction to the Smartlane API. For a detailed description of all API endpoints, check out the API reference. If you're just interested in using our frontend, please consult the Tutorial for the Webapp.

First of all, you need to Sign Up and check if your connection is set up properly. Afterwards it's a good idea so check the following chapters

The first chapter about addresses and geolocations , as well as the second about deliveries and time windows, gives step by step guidance covering the basics of the API, and are a good place to start if you've got a little more time.

In case you want to start optimizing your first routes right away, the core feature of the API, feel free to fast forward to chapter 3 and be alright. Or get a quick overview over the Basic API Data Structures.

The last chapter gives some guidance, beyond the core of our API, that helps you manage your whole disposition process. E.g. registering drivers, who you can assign tours to, as well as how to track and control their actions in real time as done by the Smartlane DriverApp (or just write your own). Features about long time monitoring and data analysis will follow.

We also provide an API specification according to Swagger/OpenAPI-Specification, which you can use to program our API directly in your language of choice. We try our best to keep it up to date.

For further information about our product, please don't hesitate to write to info@smartlane.de or for technical questions to support@smartlane.de.
